About Us
We are Kate and Sarah, co-owners of Valley Pelvic Health. After spending many years working in busy physiotherapy clinics, we saw the need to have a calm space dedicated to the treatment of pelvic-floor concerns. And so, Valley Pelvic Health was founded in 2022. We are so happy to be able to offer help with issues that often leave people feeling lost.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is the cancellation policy?
We require 48 hours' notice for any appointment cancellations. There is a $50 fee for missed appointments or for cancellation made within 48 hours of the scheduled time, regardless of the reason for cancellation. This fee will be applied to the credit card on file.
-
What should I expect at my first visit?
At the first visit, you may take a seat in the reception area and your therapist will greet you at your appointment time. Special clothing is not required, please dress comfortably.
Your therapist will begin the appointment by taking a detailed history, usually lasting about 30-40 minutes. Following this, your therapist will explain what can be involved in the physical exam and together you will decide what components of the physical exam will be completed at that time.
A pelvic floor evaluation involves internal assessment of the pelvic floor muscles, either via vaginal or rectal exam. If the idea of an internal exam is preventing you from seeking help, your therapist will work with you to figure out an assessment process that you are more comfortable with.
-
Is pelvic floor physiotherapy only for women?
No! Pelvic floor physiotherapy is for everyone with a pelvic floor! We will provide care to all, regardless of gender identity or age. Patients under the age of 16 will require a parent to be present for the first visit. Anyone can invite a friend or support person into the treatment room with them at any time if needed.
-
Can you bill my insurance plan/ How do I pay?

We accept payment via credit card, cheque, cash, and e transfer. We do not accept debit payments.
